Move the laundry room from next to the kitchen, to the upstairs hall.
Two small linen closets were the designated spot to add 2 sets of cabinetry, a laundry sink and counter top, and a new washer and dryer. To make it work, we would have to enlarge both of these closets by bringing this wall further out into the hallway and widen the access as well. Thankfully this end of the hallway was the widest and it provided us with just enough space to accommodate what we needed.
You would never know this was a remodel. A great use of space and so convenient. It looks like this is the way it was meant to be. But you want to see the inside don’t you.
We reused the original laundry room cabinets and were able to make use of the countertop and faucet that came from the kitchen (more on that renovation later).
